Description
Synchronization panels are primarily designed to fulfill power system requirements. These panels operate within an automatic mains failure system, ensuring that when the main supply is interrupted on one or more phases (after a set delay), the generator sets start automatically. Following an adjustable warm-up period, the generators synchronize with each other using motorized circuit breakers or contactors to connect to a common bus-bar. Subsequently, the motorized change-over switch is closed to link the load to the main distribution box.
Load share units continuously monitor demand, allowing for the shutdown of one or two generators during low usage periods to conserve fuel. As demand increases, additional generators are restarted, synchronized, and reconnected to the load. When the AMF control unit detects the restoration of the main supply, it initiates an adjustable observation period before reconnecting to the mains. A cool-down period follows, after which the generator sets are shut down.
